What you are viewing now is a Page, which is essentially a web page that you can create in Canvas to display static or dynamic content for your students, such as; text, images, web links, videos, and files. Pages are often used to provide an introduction to a module or lesson and can contain resources that students will review prior to completing assignments or quizzes that you may have added to your lesson.

What to Do

In your course or sandbox, go to Pages in the course menu at left (you will still be able to access this area even if it is grayed out).
Click View All Pages at the top of the Pages screen if you do not see the +Page button.
Click the +Page button and name the page whatever you would like (for example, "Module Introduction").
Using the Rich Content Editor and Content Selector tools as described in the video above, practice adding/formatting text, adding files, images, and links.
When you are done adding sample content, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
